The 5th edition of the Piano Duo Festival Spring Weekend will take place on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May 2026! The Spring Weekend serves as a prelude to the main event in October and this time focuses particularly on the duos of the future: no fewer than six of the best pianists from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam will be sharing the most beautiful piano duo music with you. In addition, on 10 May we will be celebrating Mother’s Day with a storytelling concert created especially for the Spring Weekend. Take a look at our programme page for more information!

The winner of the 2nd Pianoduo Festival Composition Competition is the 28-year-old Mattias Spee. The jury was impressed by his concept, the jazzy and Stravinsky-like elements, and the excellent pianistic writing. An honorary mention was awarded to the 22-year-old Apollon Kalamenios.
