Cabaret artist and Ten Holt biographer Arie Vuyk delves into the repertoire of Simeon ten Holt, who would have turned 100 years old in 2023. Almost everyone knows his composition Canto Ostinato, but his other works are much more unknown. Although Ten Holt's oeuvre can be divided into different periods, a coherent development can be seen. Arie Vuyk explains how Ten Holt arrived at his unique style. Particularly highlighted is the work 'Schaduw noch Prooi ' ("Neither Shadow nor Prey"), perhaps the pinnacle of Ten Holt's repetitive compositions.
