Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of minimal music! In it, piano duo Scholtes & Janssens explores all extremes. From the world premiere of "Dark Lights," a work written especially for the festival by young Dutch composer Thomas van Dun, to Satie's minimalist Gnossienes for two pianos. From the layered, meditative music of Arvo Pärt to the "virtuoso minimalism" of Kate Moore. Also taking place on festive evening is the release of the latest album by Piano Duo Scholtes & Janssens featuring Canto Ostinato by Simeon ten Holt. This concert will take place at De Amstelkerk.

14:30 - 15:30Young duo masters: Ibrahim & Hassan Ignatov

Twin brothers Ibrahim and Hassan Ignatov are only 20 years young, but have already won more than 40 awards, both as soloists and as a duo. In addition, both brothers also compose from a young age. Ibrahim and Hassan studied in Varna (Bulgaria) and Berlin (Germany) and are currently continuing their studies at the Maastricht Conservatory of Music. On this afternoon the duo will play a varied program with the beautiful Fantasy in f by Schubert and Rachmaninoff's dazzling first suite for two pianos, interspersed with their own compositions.
