14:00 - 16:00Piano Duo Lab: masterclass for young top talent

This afternoon, two young, up-and-coming duos will receive a public masterclass from Scholtes & Janssens Piano Duo. Together with Duo Morgan & Van Nee and Duo Rosa & Glukhovskiy (both from the Conservatory of Amsterdam) we will dive into the world of playing piano four hands and two pianos. There are quite a few challenges to playing together: how do you sound as one pianist with four arms, while still keeping your own voice? How do you bring out the best in each other? Enjoy the playing of the newest generation of duos and the advice of the masters during this Piano Duo Lab! This concert takes place in the Amstelkerk, Amstelveld 10 AmsterdamStudents get free admission!

20:00 - 21:15Young Jazz Masters in Duo

Four leading jazz pianists of the Conservatory of Amsterdam join forces in an evening of improvisation and dialogue. Joao Ferreira, Evan van der Feen, Justin Zitt and Jules Charbonnier are among the most promising young voices within the jazz department. In several duo formations, they engage in conversation and duel behind two grand pianos. Prepare for an evening full of spectacle, inspiration and musical surprises!

10 May 2026

15:00 - 16:15Mother's day concert: letters to my mother

Today, on Mother's Day, we put six composers and their mothers in the spotlight. During this special concert, music and text come together in an intimate narrative about solidarity, nostalgia and love. Using letters and excerpts from the lives of composers such as Brahms, Ravel, Mozart, Grieg, Tchaikovsky and Clara Schumann, a personal and recognizable story unfolds: about mothers as a source of inspiration, as a home base, as the silent force behind great artists. Familiar and beloved works, including Ravel's Ma mère l'oye and Mozart's Violin Sonata in e minor, are interwoven and interspersed with words, featuring Piano Duo Scholtes & Janssens, Kirila Kraal (vocals and narrator) and Eduardo Paredes Crespo (violin). This concert takes place in the Amstelkerk, Amstelveld 10 Amsterdam

Tip! We have a special “Bring your mum along” ticket available for this concert: a discounted ticket for you and your mum.
